“Don’t leave me.” The words escaped his lips so fluidly that it left me surprised. However, I was able to collect myself immediately and I smiled at him.
“Of course, I won’t,” I replied. His grip around my hands tightened and he was beaming back at me. I grinned at how childishly possessive he was at the moment- as much as it’s annoying at times, it’s actually pretty cute.

Dramione AU: Hermione helps Draco join the Order
“Can I ask why the pair of you are here?” They didn’t know why he was asking, the twinkle in his eye indicated Dumbledore already knew the answer. But before an even more uncomfortable silence could settle over the office, Hermione cleared her throat. It was obvious Draco wasn’t ready to talk yet.
“Draco wants to join the Order.” She blurted, fingers toying with the sleeve of her jumper. The Headmaster made a noise of acknowledgement, gaze landing on the silent blonde boy. No, not boy. He was a young man now.
“Is this correct, Mr Malfoy?” All attention was on the youngest Malfoy, his eyes slightly wide with nervousness and fright. He could do this. Hermione had said he could do this.
“Y-yes, Headmaster.” Draco nodded stiffly, almost every muscle in his body tense. With a deep intake of breath, the blonde continued. “I’ve been given a mission, but I can’t do it. I don’t want to do it.”
“I convinced him to at least try and seek help.” Hermione interjected as politely as possible, determined to set Draco free from the Dark Lords clutches and bring him to the good side. Her side. “I know it will be difficult to get the Order to trust him, but…I trust him.” This statement caused the blonde to look at her in surprise, and it was obvious he was unsure of how to feel about the confession.
“And what exactly is your mission?” Another question the old man probably knew the answer to. Dumbledore ran a hand over his beard, eyes shining with curiosity. The pair in front of him didn’t reply for a moment, sending one another hesitant frowns.
“To kill you.”
